Karen is experienced business leader with 10 years’ operating at Director and Board level across operations, property, recruitment, and the 3rd Sector.
Most recently, Karen was the Head of Operations for a company specialising in the Purpose-Built Student Accommodation Sector where she supported investors and building owners to reach their company goals across Scotland and the North of England. Karen was responsible for overseeing the performance of 14 buildings whilst ensuring the near 4000 tenants received the best customer experience.
With 20 years client management experience, Karen has supported clients across banking, construction, higher education, local and national government, and the NHS to deliver quality results across various projects. Karen is customer focused and committed to getting it right for each client, stakeholder, and end user, via continual improvement through engagement and feedback.
Throughout her career Karen has successfully introduced three new business divisions in the recruitment sector and transformed a previously underperforming Student Accommodation division into top performers across all main KPIs. Karen enjoyed seeing her team gaining several accolades along the way including winning The Best individual Student Accommodation 2022 at the Global Student Living Index awards and the Unsung Hero Award at the National Student Housing Awards 2021.
Since 2013 Karen has enjoyed, and felt privileged, to be a member of the Board of Directors of 3D, an award-winning charity based in the West of Glasgow that helps to improve the lives of impoverished families.
A working Mum of three Karen is a keen adventurer of the countryside by walking or running and was delighted to complete her first marathon in 2022 in Geneva. Karen is delighted to secure the appointment of Director of Operations with Ceteris and very much looking forward to the exciting time ahead working as part of a great team and the local community.
