Ceteris help raise over £9,000 for Strathcarron Hospice

Ceteris is well known for supporting the Business Community but what may be less well known is the many charitable causes we support.

Each year a department in Ceteris takes over the mantle of organising the business’s fundraising and, over the last 12 months, the Ceteris Business Gateway team has raised thousands for good causes.

In particular, everyone at Ceteris is proud to be Charity Partners with Strathcarron Hospice and to have helped them raise over £9,200 during the last year.

£8,500 was raised at the Strathcarron Hospice Open Day at Gean House organised by Opening More Doors and Ceteris, who provided Gean House free of charge for the day.  The event included vintage fashion shows, pop-up shops selling a range of goods, fun makeovers by Forth Valley College students, mini massages, cakes and home baking sales and tombola draws.

A further £739 was raised for Strathcarron Hospice by Ceteris and Ceteris Tenants via a tombola raffle and this cheque was presented to Coleena Brodie of Strathcarron Hospice at Gean House last week.

Ceteris Managing Director, Margaret Mary Rafferty said “We are full of admiration for the work that Strathcarron Hospice does, are proud to be Charity Partners and we make sure that they are included as a beneficiary in many of the fundraising activities that we undertake. I am delighted with the time, effort and organisation that the Ceteris Business Gateway team have put into their recent fundraising for the Hospice.”

“Our day-to-day role in Clackmannanshire is to help support the business community but we believe that supporting charitable and good causes has an equally important bearing in fostering a sense of community in an area.”

Strathcarron Hospice have not been the only beneficiaries from the excellent fundraising efforts of Ceteris staff.  This year the Ceteris Business Gateway team has also raised £1200 for Breast Cancer by running the Race for Life under the unflattering moniker of “Jiggly Joggers”!

Scottish Autism, who is one of Ceteris’ largest tenants, has also benefitted via a series of successful Bake Sales within the Ceteris portfolio of serviced offices. Almost £200 has been raised in 2016 at the Alloa Business Centre, Alloa E-Centre and Stirling’s Springfield House.

Margaret Mary continues, “Fundraising is a fundamental part of the Ceteris philosophy and I am delighted that my colleagues wholeheartedly contribute to a wide range of charities. “
