Clacks WIB August Networking Event

The next Clackmannanshire Women into Business event will take place on the evening of Tuesday, August 29th at The Butterfly Inn, Tillicoultry.

The keynote speaker for our fourth 2017 event is Fiona Ritchie of award-winning Siabann

Making soap out of necessity was how Siabann (Gaelic for soap) was born. Fiona Ritchie started creating soap for her children’s skin more than ten years ago which sparked a business idea that is now booming for this Scottish soap ‘chef’.

She originally made soap for her young children because she wasn’t happy putting products with chemicals and parabens on their skin. Fiona then became fascinated with the properties and goodness of natural oils and butters. This has led her to spend the subsequent years developing a range of products that make perfect gifts as well as nourishing and rejuvenating skin treats!

In 2015 the artisan soap maker joined forces with her friend, and now business partner, Sue Price to launch the Siabann range and moved her business from her home to a fully-fledged soap and skincare kitchen, now based in Carsebridge Court, Alloa.

At Clacks WIB, Fiona will discuss how she handled the challenges (and there have been a few!) of her business journey so far.

This is also a great chance to network with other women in business and see the beautiful Butterfly Inn.

Registration is from 5:45 pm. Tea / Coffee and sandwiches will be available on arrival. The guest speaker will commence at 6:45pm. There is a £5 contribution towards refreshments. Any questions please contact Dorothy at dhenke@ceteris.co.uk.

This event will be an informative and fascinating behind the scenes look at an exciting and innovative local business.

We hope to see you there!
