Glossary of Terms

Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) - the authoring language used to create Web pages on the World Wide Web.

Internet Service Provider(ISP) - a company that provides access to the Internet for a monthly fee.

LEC - Local Enterprise Company

Mission statement - a short statement explaining the purpose of a business and what it wants to accomplish and be famous for.

Net Income - the excess of a business total revenues over its total expenses during a period of time.

Online - when users are connected to a computer service through a modem.

Product - anything capable of satisfying needs, including tangible items, services and ideas.
