No problem, ClacksWiSE has you covered.
ClacksWiSE is a new project from Ceteris that supports women in Clackmannanshire looking to return to work or considering self-employment as an option. All services are free and we provide training in business skills plus support to help women start and grow new businesses.
Launching this month, the ClacksWiSE programme encourages self-employment, offers free access to the touchdown space networking hub in Alloa Business Centre, provides experienced mentors to support and encourage plus workshops in confidence building, assertiveness, communication and presentation skills.
Don’t forget training in business skills including business planning, finance, IT, social media, and marketing.
Alison Davidson, Business Development Manager at Ceteris said, “We have a proven track record of delivering business support and training programmes in Central Scotland and are delighted to have been successful in our bid for funding from the Royal Bank of Scotland Skills & Opportunities Fund for our Clackmannanshire Women into Self-Employment (ClacksWiSE) project.”
“We aim to encourage around 25 women to take part in the programme, equipping them with increased enterprise and business skills, with our key objective being to support 12 women into self-employment next year”

Facilitated by Jennifer Tervit McDonald of Perfect Penny Marketing, discover and acknowledge your skill set and brainstorm to create and ideas for your new business. Meet the other women taking part in the project. Have a look around the premises available, find out more about the training available and work together to create and explore ideas for your potential new business.
Jennifer is the “perfect” person to run such a workshop having already launched two businesses of her own; Singled Up in 2012 and Perfect Penny Marketing in 2016. She has also worked as a business adviser at Business Gateway Clackmannanshire so is fully aware of the challenges and obstacles to be climbed when launching a new business.

Following the ideas generation session, ClacksWise launches it’s Personal Development Programme with two half-day workshops looking at communication and presentation skills (Day 1) then image and impact (Day 2).
Day 1 on September 26th at the Alloa Business Centre will coach the ClacksWiSE women to project and practice vocal techniques, eliminate “grey” language and develop a confident posture.
Day 2 which is exactly one week later on October 3rd at the Alloa Business Centre, is wide ranging and will help the attendees deal with negativity in a positive way, build rapport, motivate others and build resilience.
Delivered by Kate Donne and Carolyn Konrad, attendees are guaranteed a lively and interactive experience. Kate has over twenty five years of experience designing and delivering a varied range of business and personal development programmes. She not only has a degree from The Royal Conservatoire in Glasgow but was presented with the top final year student award. Kate’s specific expertise lies in Presentation Skills programmes.
Carolyn is a professional actress who has worked extensively within Theatre, TV and Radio. Amongst many other productions she has been on Still Game, Taggart and Take The High Road. Carolyn’s twenty five year career has also included workshop design and delivery.
